Hey, my name is Thomas Hoffmann and I'm a software engineer at in Erlangen.
I have a master's degree in computer science from the KIT Karlsruhe and founded my own business to develop, support and sell Android applications.
For programming, I mostly use Java & Kotlin (Java SE 11 certified), but I've also built some websites with PHP, SQL & JavaScript and often use python for some smaller scripting tasks.
German is my mother tongue, but I'm also fluent in English.

Since 2015, I work on automotive infotainment systems as a Java software engineer in the framework team at, a joint venture of Elektrobit and Audi. Part of our responsibility as framework is to provide bridging components which allow different car systems - speaking different protocols - to communicate with each other. We also offer highly configurable IPC mechanisms, several code generators and system-wide tracing libraries.

Android app programming
I developed several mobile applications for the Android platform. In the process, I improved my knowledge about the eclipse IDE & Android Studio and used version control systems like SVN and Git. I know my way around the Android API and the Android design guidelines and I founded my own business to sell these apps on the Google Play Store.
